For my project I am planning on taking on the responsibility of planning an event on campus that is held for perspective students. Juniors and Seniors in high school will be able to come and visit Southern Utah University as well as experience what it is like to be a college student for the weekend. I am holding this event on January 20-21st 2017. Each high school student will be able to participate in an interactive campus tour as well as the activities I have planned for them. They will also be able to eat here on campus for dinner and breakfast. Every student will be assigned a student ambassador here on campus to spend the night with, and each activity they are going to be able to participate in will be carefully planned and organized by me. This is an opportunity that will take my position as a student leader on campus to the next level. I will also gain major leadership and event planning skills by putting this event on myself. I am excited to begin organizing this event in which I can help show high school students just how amazing Southern Utah University is.
